Terms of Service

The basis on which you use TerminationHelp.

Preparation, not prediction. TerminationHelp organises and structures your matter so it's clearer and better prepared. It does not tell you what your matter is worth or whether you will succeed — those are matters for the Fair Work Commission and your own advisers.

What TerminationHelp is

A guided preparation-support service for unfair dismissal matters — checking timing, organising evidence, identifying gaps, and preparing structured Fair Work materials.

What TerminationHelp is not

  • Not legal advice and not legal representation. Using it does not create a lawyer–client relationship.
  • It does not predict outcomes or guarantee any result or amount.
  • Not the Fair Work Commission and not affiliated with the FWC or Fair Work Ombudsman; it does not file anything on your behalf.
  • Outputs are generated with AI and are not reviewed by a human before you see them.

How our AI works — please read

  • Generative AI. Your chat and preparation materials are produced by a generative AI model. Output can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Check anything before you rely on it or file it.
  • No human review before you see it. No human reviews the AI's output before it reaches you. You are the final reviewer.
  • Legal professional privilege — a caution. If you upload material that is subject to legal professional privilege, there is a risk a court may later decide privilege has been waived. Do not upload privileged material unless you have decided you are willing to accept that risk. Flag anything you want quarantined.
  • Your data is not used to train AI. Your matter content is not used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, and it is not reused across matters or parties.
  • Data stays in Australia. The AI that produces your materials runs in Australia (AWS Sydney region) on an onshore model deployment. The only exception is the limited security monitoring described below.
  • Security & abuse monitoring. Our AI provider (Amazon Web Services) may carry out limited automated checks on AI inputs and outputs to detect misuse and enforce its acceptable-use policy. This is governed by the AWS Data Processing Addendum and is used only for security and policy enforcement — never to train AI, to market to you, or to prepare the other side. We're working to minimise or remove this monitoring.
  • Session isolation. Each chat is bounded to its own matter workspace. Information from one chat does not carry into another.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information and review all generated materials before relying on or filing them.
  • Protect legal privilege and without-prejudice/settlement communications — don't upload protected documents, or flag them so they're excluded.
  • Meet your own deadlines, including the 21-day unfair dismissal window.

Payment & refunds

Pricing is shown before you pay, and payments are handled by Stripe.

What you pay for is a bespoke Fair Work preparation service tailored to your circumstances — not just the final document pack. It is not legal advice and does not guarantee any outcome, payout, settlement or Fair Work Commission result.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not excluded, restricted or modified by these terms.

Because the service is delivered and your pack generated shortly after payment, we do not usually provide refunds if you change your mind, decide not to use the service, expected a different legal outcome, or later obtain more information. Incomplete fields or missing documents in your output do not give rise to a refund — these terms require you to check every field, and amend it where necessary, before you file anything. If you are not satisfied with how complete your output is, you are encouraged to upload further documents from the suggested categories and/or add more information in chat, then regenerate as part of the service.

We will provide a refund if, before you paid, your unfair-dismissal filing deadline (generally 21 days after your dismissal took effect) had already passed and there are no reasonable grounds for the Fair Work Commission to grant an extension of time, and you ask us for a refund.

Separately, we will assess a refund, repair, replacement or other remedy where required by law, including if:

  • you were charged in error;
  • you paid but could not access the pack because of our system failure;
  • the pack was not generated;
  • the pack materially failed to match the information you provided; or
  • we made a misleading representation about the service.

To request help or a refund, ask in chat or contact support@terminationhelp.com.au. We may first try to fix the issue, regenerate the pack, or provide another remedy permitted by law.

Liability

TerminationHelp is a preparation-support service. It does not give legal advice, does not represent you, and does not predict or guarantee any outcome, remedy, or amount. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee or other right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, TerminationHelp is not responsible for the outcome of any Fair Work matter or for decisions you make based on materials you've generated with the service.

Ad measurement

If you arrived at this site via a Google ad, we send Google a single measurement signal when you complete payment — your Stripe payment reference, the amount you paid in AUD, and the currency string "AUD". No name, no email, no matter details, no anything you've typed or uploaded is sent. This helps us measure which ads work so we can stop spending on ads that don't. Ad measurement is currently on. You can turn it off at any time on the Ad measurement page; the change takes effect immediately and is remembered in a first-party cookie called _no_analytics. See our Privacy Notice for the full data-flow description.
