Privacy Notice

How TerminationHelp collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information.

Who we are

TerminationHelp is an Australian unfair-dismissal preparation-support service. We are not a law firm, not the Fair Work Commission, and not affiliated with any government body. TerminationHelp is operated by Justice Futures Pty Ltd (ACN 700 431 518, ABN 19 700 431 518), an online-only business operated in Australia; in this notice, "we", "us" and "our" mean that entity.

What we collect

What you tell us: your account of the dismissal and answers to preparation questions.
Documents you choose to add: evidence you upload to your matter workspace.
Account & contact details and payment information (processed by Stripe; we don't store full card details).
Basic usage data so the service works and can be improved. We don't sell personal data.

How we use it

To generate your preparation materials and operate your account, payment, and support.
We do not use your documents or matter content to train AI models, and we do not reuse them across matters or parties.

How AI processing works

Onshore. The AI processing that produces your materials runs in Australia (AWS Sydney region), and your matter content does not leave Australia for it. The only exception is the limited security monitoring described below.
No training. Our AI processing provider does not use your content to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model.
Retention by the provider. Outside limited security monitoring, our AI processing provider does not retain your content after your request has been served. It may briefly process AI inputs and outputs for automated abuse and safety monitoring to enforce its acceptable-use policy — governed by the AWS Data Processing Addendum, used only for security, and never to train AI or to prepare the other side. We're working to minimise or remove this monitoring.
Session isolation. Each chat is bounded to its own matter workspace. Information from one chat does not carry into another.
Legal professional privilege — a caution. If you upload material that is subject to legal professional privilege, there is a risk a court may later decide privilege has been waived. Consider carefully before uploading privileged material, or flag it so it's quarantined and excluded from processing.

How we protect it

Your material is kept within your own matter workspace, access-controlled and party-isolated, with documents you flag as privileged or without-prejudice quarantined and excluded from processing. You can request access or deletion via Support.

Cookies

We use one first-party cookie, fwa-return, that lives in your browser for up to 30 days. It stores only an opaque identifier, a coarse stage (whether you've started, are partway through, or have paid), and the last time you used the workspace. It does not contain your name, email, matter details, or any information you've typed or uploaded. If you return to the workspace after an hour or more, we'll offer to pick up where you left off, or start over. The cookie is cleared automatically when you complete payment or when you choose "Start over".

Ad measurement

If you arrived via one of our ads on Google, we send Google a single measurement signal when you complete payment: your Stripe payment reference, the amount you paid in AUD, and the currency. We don't send your name, email, matter details, or anything you've typed or uploaded. This helps us understand which ads work so we can spend less on ads that don't. You can turn ad measurement off at any time on our Ad measurement page — the change takes effect immediately and is remembered in a first-party cookie called _no_analytics.
